Hello, my name is Robyn Jungeblut, and I have had the honor of attending The Park since the beginning. I have been married to the most amazing and handsome man, Adam, for over 7 years, and have the two most darling children in the world, William and Avery. I love being a part of such an amazing church body and love serving the Lord at The Park.

So I think, no I know, I am addicted to Diet Coke. I love that drink. I love to drive through Sonic, (during happy hour time of course so I can get one half price), and get that great bubbly, burning, ice cold, refreshing Route 44 with chunky ice pleasurable drink. I love to drink them while it is sunny outside, cold outside, when I am with my kiddos, on a trip with my husband, shopping with my friends, or just running errands by myself. Frankly, I cannot think of a time that a Diet Coke would not be an absolutely fabulous choice of beverage and the best part is…IT HAS NO CALORIES, therefore, no accountability on my hips for the delightful pleasure!!

In February, I had an important doctor’s appointment in North Houston which evaluated all areas of my health. (And don’t you know I had a Diet Coke on the way to see the doctor…I even contemplated on bringing her one to show some kind southern gesture). Would you believe that this woman had the NERVE to tell me that I had to quit drinking my beloved beverage?!?! What was she thinking? She truly must not fully know what she was talking about! This was my “thing” and it really wasn’t all that bad…right?

John 10:10 says, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” I am one of the truly blessed believers that grew up in the church, had phenomenal, Godly Christian parents, and became a true follower of Christ at the age of 5. The “Thief” lost the battle of my life at a very young age, as I fell in love with Jesus so early and never turned back. But I will say that the enemy has continued to try to steal, kill and destroy areas of my life. More importantly though, is that Jesus came into my life to give me life to the full. Full life! Abundant, exciting life! Does that excite you? I must say that so many times we as Christians get too busy or focus on the things in life that we cannot have or should not do, and we miss out on the abundant life the Lord has for you and me. And this is not any mundane, normal day- to-day life, but life running over, in love with Christ and in the middle of His plan…His full plan for our life…it is full!

Back to my doctor, she instructed me to give up this addiction I had to Diet Coke, because she wanted me to have health…full health. Diet Coke was one of many things that were robbing me of feeling well. I was not feeling well enough to be the mom I wanted to be, the wife I wanted to be, the daughter, the friend, or the child of God that I wanted to be and was created to be. I have given up Diet Coke, among many other “health stealers” in my life, and let me tell you, “IT HAS BEEN WORTH EVERY BIT OF IT!” I feel so much better and love the life I have now so much more by experiencing full health. Sometimes, I desire to drive thru Sonic to get my half-price beverage, but I wouldn’t go back; full life is worth too much to me.

What about you? Knowing that God has life for you, life to the full, what is holding you back? Is it fear? Is it laziness? Complacency? Lack of desire? Busyness? Let me urge you friend, nothing is worth missing out on Jesus…nothing. Nothing is worth missing out on the life He desires for you and for me. Nothing is worth missing out on a vibrant relationship with our Lord. Please take the challenge to step into the abundant life and enjoy being a follower of Christ…I do, and I would not trade it for the world.
